Why the name kettleCADDY Pizza Oven?

So often people ask me why I chose kettleCADDY as the name of our product? Well, I am glad that you too are curious for the answer – it is firstly to tickle your curiosity! However, there is also bit of “method in the madness” and the actual reason for the name, kettle [is because our oven fits on a kettle grill) CADDY [a caddy is generally an object that is portable] and that is exactly the idea: – you can use your kettleCADDY Pizza Oven with your charcoal kettle grill anywhere you wish – AND it fits in the trunk of your car. So take it to the beach, picnic area, campsite or on your patio.

What is so special about

kettleCADDY Pizza Oven

The Inventor

Hello there, my name is Anton Snyman and I designed the kettleCADDY Pizza Oven. Thank you for taking the time to visit the home of kettleCADDY. Back in 2010, it became increasingly evident that people enjoy making pizzas in the comfort of their homes and without the luxury of a built-in pizza oven, the kitchen oven was generally the only solution to bake pizzas. My needs are the same as yours! Pizza must taste like ITALIAN and if it is not done inside a woodflamed pizza oven, it is not PIZZA. Pizzas from a kitchen oven is like a Cappuccino without froth – it just simply does not taste right! Right?
So, the wonderful combination of a kettle grill (braai) and our kettleCADDY Pizza Oven resulted in a “perfect” solution for home-cooked pizzas. The art of making woodflamed pizzas in the comfort of your own home, is within your grasp – and it won’t hurt your budget either! The Product

To invent and register a patent may sound to most people like an easy process, but those of you who have attempted this, will know that it is close to impossible. Especially if you want to accomplish the basic principles of product development to cater for the “man-on-the-street” buyer’s market. It had to fulfill the following requirements: –

For the price of 20-30 take-away pizzas OR 4-5 restaurant meals for a family of four, you can purchase your own CADDY – add it to your kettle grill and off you go!

The Pizza Stone inside your CADDY takes approximately 20-30minutes to heat up to baking temperature. A convensional built-in pizza oven will take anything between 1 to 3 hours to heat up and a lot of valuable and expensive energy (wood) is needed.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to operate your CADDY. Zero assembly is required and if you follow the ease-of-use instructions, making your favorite pizza will be a walk-in-the-park.

A built-in pizza oven has many advantages, but mobility is not one of them. Think about it – the day you selll your house, you also kiss your pizza oven good-bye! But, if you become the proud owner of a CADDY, it’s yours for life! And what’s more, you can use it anywhere you like – well, as long as it is legal.

Since our first production in 2011, the kettleCADDY Pizza Oven went through various stages of change and has evolved from a painted mild steel product, to a beautiful stainless steel pizza oven to make you proud!

The answer was quite simple when I realized that it was possible to create a pizza oven that fits on the existing outdoor charcoal kettle grill (Weber and other models).
